Sweet Roast Green Tea (or Roasted Green Tea) is naturally sweetened through our roasting process without any additives or chemicals. Large tea leaves are harvested in early summer and dried. Roasting the dried tea leaves reduces the taste of bitterness and astringency while adding mild sweetness to the tea.
These tea plants are less susceptible to pests and diseases and naturally grown without any pesticides or chemicals. We let our farm animals and wild birds naturally keep weeds and pests under control. Many fruit trees, native ohia trees and various flowers surround the tea field. They maintain the biological functions of growth and decomposition and the ecological diversity of healthy farm environment.
Steeping:
Our Roasted Green Tea is harvested from large leaves in summer and fall months. It is very full range of flavor, yet taste very mild and sweet from strong roast. You can enjoy this tea by brewing with hot water (212F) for 2-5 min.
