Ordering Policies

Our online shopping pages are designed for easy ordering and checkout process through our encrypted and secure shopping cart system.

Click “add to cart” button to put desired items into your shopping cart. You can modify quantity of each item in your shopping cart or remove undesired items. Click on “Proceed to checkout” button will take you to secure Paypal payment pages where you enter your payment and shipping information. Paypal account is not required for checkout.

Shipping Policy

Unless otherwise requested, as of 12/19/19, orders received by 6am HAST are usually sent out the following Tuesday or Thursday. This schedule is subject to change based on holiday and school schedules but we will always send you a shipping confirmation with tracking information. Orders are shipped by USPS Priority to US mainland and first class mail within the state of Hawaii. Canada customers may choose their preferred service but please note the expected transit time as packages are frequently delayed in customs.

For wholesale orders please contact us by email or phone. International customers with orders processed through paypal will be contacted for additional shipping costs. For an estimate of shipping costs to other countries, please send an email request to info(at)maunakeatea.com with your desired items for purchase.

Free shipping on orders over $75 (U.S. only).

Shipping is $5 on all Hawaiian islands.


We accept cash, checks, money order, and credit cards.

Web orders are most easily handled with Square credit card payment.  For Paypal users, please request an invoice for payment online.  For custom orders, send an email and we will quote directly to your needs.

Return Policy

Due to sensitive and fragile nature of our teas and teawares, Mauna Kea Tea will not accept the return of any tea or goods without authorization. Authorization can be obtained by calling 808-775-1171 or emailing us.

If you received a wrong order, or any missing or damaged goods in your order by our mistake, we will give full credit.

If you are unsatisfied with your order, you may first call or email us within 30 days of your order date. You may do this by calling or emailing us with your name, the invoice number, and nature of the problem.

All promotional items, special orders and sales are non-refundable. Authorized returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee.

Please note that we do not accept returns on our tea leaf due to perishable nature of tea. If you have any questions or concerns about our teas, please contact us by phone or email.
