We believe that tea which grows slowly, maturing at nature’s pace, sustains its inherent quality over time.
Having tasted this organic Premium Green tea over the last few years on the shelf, we’ve been surprised at the retained freshness. It offers a demonstration of the flavor and resiliency natural tea can provide, despite the passing of time.
The tea is a mix of three harvests compatible in spring date and field character, spanning the fields’ individual charm. It was hand picked with smaller leaves than our Premium Green Tea, thus the more tightly rolled shape.
Pearls are given a slightly stronger roast to accent nutty hay like green aroma as opposed to milder more subtle roast of our standard premium green.
Hand picked in 2014 and 2015 and stored until this first release in 2019, only 2 kg are available. In celebration of this special release, we’re pleased to offer a discount on the 1 oz package size.
Brew: 5 g in an 8 oz Tokoname pot brings bright green-yellow liquor, fresh aroma, and lingering smooth, balanced flavor. Make sure to use good quality spring water to bring out the inherent natural quality of this tea.
